I wrote this track as an exclusive for a compilation CD for a hiphop festival in Berlin, Germany. The festival was called GrafitiBox and the theme of it was all to do with graf. So hence the track is all about graf. This is definatley a forgotton element that i have a lot of respect for though and i love going to jams that fuse the visual art with music so as a genuine fan i could easily write this track. I remember making the whole joint from beat to mix in about 3 hours, i was just zoning! And the more i listened to it, the more i realised "this is a track!!!"

2009, style wars still getting faught
even thought the authorities tightened up the laws
renegades, strapped with a tin of paint

all the true hiphoppers are still graffitti lovers
to the boom box, body pop, moonwalk
overlooked by technicolour tags on rooftops
them spray can fumes got me trippin like my first spliff
any toys taking liberties then we burn shit
final verdict, we turn brick to hope
they say we take part in vandalism but we dont
in fact we offer you an inner image of our soul
i guess beauty lies in the eye of the beholder

Look at the Berlin Wall, covered in graf after it collapsed
like a plaster over the wounds of the past
and its that very sentiment, that made me put pen to ink
not to sketch but to show respect to those stencilling
plotting and pencilling their plans for their next peice
The graf artist, forgotten brother of the MC
but i remember bro, though we don't speak a lot
we'll have a family reunion at graffitibox

DAMN, I'm a lifelong paint fan,
from Europe all the way to New York City, grafitti's graceland
so throw that shit up, get up, get out and paint something
this is not a one generation thing
