This was a track i wrote the lyrics to a good number of months ago and very nearly got left off the project until DJ Illas convinced me otherwise. I was having real problems connecting with it whilst i was recording it but it clicked last minute and then apa-tight remixed it and tweaked it and it felt right! We did a really cool acoustic version of it at my acoustic show. Ill include the video as a special download for you.

I've heard it said that you only succeed on the day that you blow
well, if thats true, im the dopest failure i know
and im largely undiscovered at the time of press
many still to buy the album yet but it isnt like im depressed
and recently i havent had no time to rest
took my grind to the web like cyber sex
branched out on a digital steez
im only visitin see, hiphop lives in the street
where my people dwell, see me in my filas or adidas shells
with a cd to sell, til the day im eatin well
i see myself rocking for thousands,
pounds in my pocket while im out shottin my album

loving the sound of the composition

well if it did, then the fame and the fashions what laid it to rest
but right now it just got revived
im not suprised to find big rappers bite from the little acts
but few got quality control
so they bite and bite but eventually get bitten back
when their label come and swallow their soul
and never did i borrow a flow, or ever rented a line
i spent my time working and developing mine
with an unforgiving training regime
straining to be the greatest, would i faint or stay on my feet?
the first test, the lesson i learned best is you earn reps
theyre not free and you sleep when you deserve rest
a home made original, basic principle
became my daily ritual

coz they dont pay attention to detail
you might set off quick and be on a fast track
but you dont travel express when you derail

i crush rappers like grapes if they wine
or if they ever try duplicate my design
put the needle to the groove, get the people in the mood
theres something in the air, i can feel it in the room
