Heres one to get everyone mad!!! From the purists who say you shouldnt resort to doing a track like this to the people who just enjoy it and say "oh i didnt know you were taking the piss". Well LISTEN to the joint and it becomes very clear. This idea for this track came to me and a friend when we was in a bar drinking and basically havin a moan about how every song is the same and the majority of people dont care, so i was like, if you address that in the chorus, u think anyone will pick it up? Anyway, verse 1 is quite blatantly not my style and verse 2 breaks it down, so i'm sure you can find some element of this track you like, oh and for the "purists" who actually like the beat, THATS OK MAN!!!
lyrics
Chorus
Everybody Keep on dancing, dancing, dancing to the same song
Everybody keep on singing, singing, singing along
Verse 1
I walk into the club, I know the bouncers
Thats why i'm strapped and i have got a couple ounces
I see this chick i like, she's looking fine as hell
I make my move on her, she's standing by herself
I say I'm Flash, but you know,
She say you're flash and it shows
I got a passion for hoes, so i just grab her and go
We get to the door and I'm holding her hand
Thats when this song comes on and she just wants to stay for a dance
and thats why
Chorus
Everybody keep on dancing, dancing, dancing to the same song
Everybody keep on singing, singing, singing along
Everybody keep on dancing, dancing, dancing to the same song
Everybody keep on singing, singing, singing along
Verse 2
This is hip-hop nosis that you're being controlled with
Radio increase the dosage, and the dopest thing is you don't notice
At work same song play for the whole shift
Now you at home, singing a song you dont like
from some rapper, that employed someone to ghostwrite
go to the club and i swear for the whole night
that they got you under some spell like snow white
then you go buy the release,
song after song and the crisis repeats
same old ideas, repackaged in new boxes
same old labels back with new rosters
stop this madness, sad, hiphop has dropped its standards
swapped its anthems, for songs from imposter gangsters
write them a hit and you're locked in handcuffs
no room for maneuvering, and you have been used again
like so many wannabe musicians
15 minutes up, label dont give a fuck
coz they got a next chumps signature
and your fans so fickle, man showbiz'll
ruin all your plans for shizzle
chew you up spit you out like gristle
meanwhile in a little bar in the middle
of any single town in the british isles
adults are dancing to infantile
pop songs that int got a hint of style
claiming hiphop but theyre in denial
so keep talking, feet forward
like good little sheep sleep walking
how come, you dont notice when they switch the song but
you're still managing to dance along?

Not decided on a favourite track but the album as a whole is positive, reflective and mature - aside from the lyricism and the recognisable voice, things have changed since 'The Essance' (still a great album though!) Great LP. Scissorino

This song changed my music variety entirely but to be honest the entire album is amazing and not to forget all the bands that feature with Sinners are great as well highly recommended Drew Diamond

Solid follow-up to Escape. Funk, jazz and reggae beats and breaks behind an A1 rosta of MCs, with Sparkz a standout. (Kid has the chops. Every style, any flow. Big future.) Rufous
